Welcome to the homepage of AI for Nuclear 2026

Our website is still under construction as we set up the 2nd eddition of AI4N, so sign up to updates with the Link below! 

AI 4 Nuclear 2026 brings together researchers, students, industry experts and regulators to explore how artificial intelligence can accelerate innovation across the nuclear sector, from reactor physics and safety analysis to fuel cycle optimization and digital twins. Building on the successful AI for Nuclear workshop held in Stuttgart in 2025, this 1.5‑day in‑person event will feature keynotes, technical talks, posters and interactive sessions focused on real‑world applications and open challenges.

  • Format: In‑person only, no hybrid streaming planned.

  • Target dates: 20 - 21 October 2026

Who can sign up?

AI 4 Nuclear 2026 is open to a diverse group interested in AI applications for nuclear energy and safety.

  • Doctoral candidates and graduate students in nuclear engineering, physics, AI, or related fields – perfect for sharing research via lightning talks, posters, or workshops.

  • Undergraduate students and early-career researchers seeking to learn about AI in nuclear simulations, reactor design, and safety analysis.

  • Academic researchers and professors from universities and institutes like IKE Stuttgart.

  • Industry professionals from nuclear utilities, vendors, fuel cycle companies, and tech firms exploring AI for predictive maintenance, digital twins, or optimization.

  • Regulators, policymakers, and TSOs interested in AI's role in safeguards, risk assessment, and regulatory frameworks.

No prior AI expertise required – the event welcomes all levels, from beginners to experts.
